2. The KM player: KM player is the best multimedia player i have ever seen. It is still remain as my best media player. It gives much option than any other media player. It gives us the opportunity of capturing image during video playback, recording media, slow motion preview, unbelievable zooming feature etc. And also, it is now able to turn your web-cam on without any driver software. I know this, i use this, i have done this to a HP laptop & i also know you want this. So, if you have KM player in collection install it now otherwise download now. Then simply install by all the default option & at the last step when install is finish, open KM player & press CTRL+ALT+W key & see ! The web-cam is turned on. 3. VLC media player: VLC also supports web-cam feature. Download VLC if you do not have. Then install & run it.
1. Select Media from menu bar & click on Open Capture Device or go to Menu\Converter\Save\or press CTRL+R from keyboard.
2. A window will open called Open Media. Select your Video device & Audio device separately. To do this click on the default button & change it to your device.
3. Change other options if you wish.
4. Go back to Open Media window & Click on Convert from bottom Play option.
5. Select your destination file, format
6. Check the box called Dump raw input.
7. Recording will start then.
8. Stop when you want to finish by clicking on the stop button.
