Follow these instructions to make WMP more reliable & useful-
1. First Download K Lite Codec pack
2. While installing select Advanced Install which shows all the options.
3. Deselect Media Player Classic At the stage of Select Components
4. At the stage of Additonal Tasks & Options deselect all Hide systray icons option (2 options)
5. At the stage of File associations select Windows Media Player.
6. Then choose your favorite options at every stage & finish installing.
7. See ! What happen ? WMP is playing all the media file you selected.
