1. Navigate through this way
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\
2. Then from the right panel click on a blank area & press “p” from keyboard & select “PaintDesktopVersion”
3. Double click on it & change the value data to 1
4. Apply & restart

Show Os version on desktop (Xp)
If you want to show the windows version in desktop’s right panel first you have to click on start\Run & type regedit, hit enter.
1. Navigate through this way

2. Then from the right panel click on a blank area & press “p” from keyboard & select “PaintDesktopVersion”
3. Double click on it & change the value data to 1
