Stop Autorun/Autoplay

When we insert Pen Drive, CD/DVD into System Unit a dialogue box appears automatically. It mainly happens by Autorun program. Autorun helps viruses to enter into hard disk. So we must keep it off as it is not disable by default. And we must open any kind of them by explore system. To do this, simply open My Computer & click on Folders from top toolbar, from the left panel open your destination by 1 click.

To turn off autorun there are 3 steps available for you

1. First, when you insert any kind of element such as Pen Drive, CD/DVD hold the Shift key until it becomes visible/readable to My Computer.

2. Secondly, click on Start\Run & type gpedit.msc & hit Enter
>Click on Administrative Templates\
>Double click on SYSTEM from  the right panel
>Scroll down a little & Double click on Turn off Autoplay

> Then enable it to all drives
> See there are another Administrative Templates function in the left panel
> In User Configuration Double Click on it & choose system from right panel again
> Click on Turn off Auto play & enable it to all drives

3. It's same as step 2 but...
> go to this directory
C:\WINDOWS\system32\
> & find gpedit.msc by typing on keyboard & open it
> Double click on SYSTEM from  the right panel & follow the previous step 2 (line 4).

> In User Configuration Double Click on it & choose system from right panel again
click on Turn off Autoplay & enable it to all drives

(Hint: If you are a Windows-7 user go to Control Panel\Autoplay\ . Then unmark Use Autoplay Option & save. That's all !)
