Speedup Windows-7 (Increase speed of 7)

These 2 Hints will not increase the speed. But just do it.
Hint:1--- At first i will suggest you not to update your Windows-7 any-day. Disable it completely from Control Panel\Windows Update\ . Select "Never check for updates" & uncheck 2 boxes from bottom.
Hint 2--- Go to Control Panel\Autoplay. Then Uncheck "Use Autoplay for all media type & Devices"


1. Disable Search Indexing feature:

a) Right click on My Computer & select Manage

b) Choose Services & Application from left panel. Select services from right panel.

c) Scroll down & Right click on Windows Search from right panel and Disable it from Startup type.

2. Choosing Power Option to: High Performance

a) If you are using a Laptop don't enable it. But if you have a Desktop based computer enable it. Go to Start\Control Panel\Power Options\


b) Click on Show additional plans mirrored rectangle button.


c) Change the power plan to : High Performance

3. Disable sound



a) Go to Start\Control Panel\Sound\
b) Select the Sounds tab


c) Change the sound scheme to:No Sounds
d) Disable the startup sound also from bottom checkbox option.

4. Disable ipv6

a) Go to Start\Control Panel\Network and Sharing Center\








b) Click on "Change advanced sharing settings
c) Select your Connection & Right click on it









d) Select Properties









e) Uncheck the box that says Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

5. always shows icon never thumbnail


a) Open My Computer








b) From left side click on Organize\Folder Options



c) Select View tab






d) Check the box that says "Always show icons, never thumbnails"

6. Disable System Restore

a) Right click on My Computer & Select Properties









b) Click on "Advanced system settings"

C) Click on System Protection tab







d) Select C:\ drive & click on Configure




e) Click on Turn off system protection
f) Click ok then yes.

7. Disable user Account Control


a) Go to Start\Control Panel\User Accounts\







b) Click on "Change User Account Control settings"












c) Select Never Notify by turning the bar into bottom.
